Trey Parnell & the Parnell Law Firm

Ralph “Trey” Parnell is a member of the Louisiana Bar since 2003, the Florida Bar since 2005, the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association, and the Northern District of Florida Federal Bar. He is also the current President of the local criminal defense bar, the Society of Criminal Defense Bar.

Trey is an adjunct professor teaching law at the University of West Florida, and a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity International. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University and a Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center where he graduated summa cum laude and was Editor in Chief of the Law Review. Trey also earned a Master’s of Law from the University of Miami.

After practicing law in South Florida, Trey moved with his family to Pensacola in 2005 and found a knack for criminal law and a passion for trial advocacy. As such, he practices criminal law almost exclusively and has litigated thousands of criminal cases in Northwest Florida, amassing valuable trial experience helping clients across the Florida Panhandle.

Trey and his wife, Dawn, are the parents of two teenagers. Trey is a PADI Advanced Certified scuba diver and an avid motorcycle rider. A proud member of the Iron Butt Association, Trey completed a certified 1,000-mile ride in less than 24 hours through parts of Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi on a Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 800. Trey also enjoyed a previous career as a morning disc jockey radio station manager across many musical genres in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Baton Rouge, LA.
